Ladies and Gentlemen, Wordgeyser

Okay, so I’m puttering along on my writing ‘to do’ list (which happens to be a mile long, but that’s ASFAT*) and I get to the entry about highlighting blogs I love.

My thought was that each month I’d shine the spotlight on a blog I find interesting, amusing, creative, intriguing, hilarious, thought-provoking. And in rare instances, possessing all of these characteristics.

The blogs I follow may differ in style or substance, but in the end they share one crucial element: they are well written.

So anyway, back to my list. I was going to begin my monthly showcasing of a great blog I enjoy this month. It being January and a new year and all. But I had several other blog-related items (fixes and minor adjustments) that were higher priority. At least on my ‘to do’ list anyway.

And then I realized that I was being silly. I mean, who’s in charge here anyway? It’s my blog and I’ll introduce my new monthly feature ‘Ladies and Gentlemen, …’ when I darn well please. It needn’t matter that I may not have many (any?) readers to introduce cool blogs to, but so what?? Perhaps someday I will. And if I do, then I’d want them to know about the following blog.

So without further ado, I am very pleased to announce the inaugural ‘Ladies and Gentlemen, …’ feature with one of my absolute favorites, Wordgeyser. It’s written (very well, I might add) by a fellow American expat here in the Netherlands.

Wordgeyser is funny and witty and sharp and droll, and has a keen eye for the amusing and the odd. Best of all, I can attest that she is as delightfully arch and savvy in person. So please have a look. I think you’ll end up hooked. I’m just saying.
