Hi all. It sure has been a busy week!
As most of you know, the book launched on Tuesday, November 1st.
After a frenzied climb, it finally hit #1 on Amazon’s Books Bestsellers List for the Women & Business category, which is no small feat.
In fact, it’s a huge whopping big deal!
Turning Points also peaked at #22 on Entrepreneurship and #34 on Self-Help > Success sub-category, so it’s a bona fide bestseller. (Why anyone would want self-help that wasn’t successful?)
Although I may have been quite here in Expat Land, I wanted to let you know that I’ve been busy traveling around on the first leg of a ‘virtual book tour’.
Rather than hop in the car, jump on the train or take a plane to visit book stores and give readings in different cities and towns, I’ve been blog-hopping around the world. In case you haven’t caught them, these are my visits so far:
Celebrating Different Styles Russell at In Search of a Life Less Ordinary (Australia)
Facing Fears Wordgeyser (Netherlands)
I Am Not Alone in This Co-author Sarah Koblow at Count Only Sunny Hours (Qatar)
The Shepherdess of Dreams Jack Scott at Perking the Pansies (Turkey)
I also was delighted that Evelyn Simpson at The Smart Expat wrote this great post on launch day: Turning Points
So many people have done so much to help: read posts; visited various websites and commented; tweeted & re-tweeted on Twitter; liked and shared on Facebook and LinkedIn; sent emails; and included us in their daily or weekly Paper.li and Summify article summaries.
It’s been so amazing, it literally takes my breath away.
Some have even helped out for the longer term by writing short reviews on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk. If you get a chance and feel so inclined, it would be much appreciated.
Oh, and more good news. For you Kindle lovers out there, the Kindle version is coming soon.
Yey! So pleased to hear how well the book is being received and #1 on Amazon is absolutely AMAZING! Well done 🙂
Thanks Carrie, you’ve been a part of helping us get there. Much appreciated my friend.
Congratulations. No mean feat at all!
Getting my pen in gear for a blog post and book review of YOUR book soon! Thanks
Yes, and count me in for that too.
Looking forward to Jack’s book – you’re welcome over at ISOALLO if you plan to ‘go on tour’, Jack!
Congrats again, Linda.
Congratulations! Don’t get too dizzy up there will you! It’s wonderful that such an empowering book for women can do so well!
No worries on that Emma! The competition is so fierce, with new books coming out daily, that we no longer hold that lofty position. You’re right though, it’s nice to be part of something that builds up and encourages.
Congratulations!
So glad to hear about the kindle version – books are heavy packing for this traveling family.
Thanks. It should be available any day now. (Amazon is a bit slow.)
